Writing the Yearbook!

Yesterday the Extension Writiers found out that they were writing the Year 6 Yearbook! You could just hear this huge, "YAY!" Me and Hannah are working together, and we are doing Camp and Marble Season. We hope to make the BEST Yearbook EVER!!!

Fireworks!

On Saturday, me and my family went out to some park, (I don't know which one) and we did fireworks there! It was super fun, cause there were some huge ones that were really loud. My sister was afraid that we'd frighten some people, but they were doing it too so we ignored her. Here are some photos of me holding a firework:

The Art of Paper Folding

Our teachers sprung a challenge upon us to create a certain shape by folding paper. At first, everyone thought it would be easy, but were soon proven wrong! We constantly fell into the Learning Pit, but we managed to make it out the other side! Comment if YOU can make it.

(Hint: You can't cut anything out, just slits in the paper!)

At Last... The Holidays!

We FINALLY got a break from school in the previous two weeks. The Holidays! I was pretty excited, but as usual, we didn't end up doing much. But I really enjoyed going Bowling. It was my first time, so they put up the railings so I couldn't get Gutter Ball. Because of that, I tied with my sister 77 each! Also, in the last Friday of the Holidays I went to Kids Republic. It was really fun and I got to see my friends! Kids Ruepubulic had this HUGE vertical slide (so scary). The name says it all! Well, OK, it wasn't COMPLETELY vertical, but pretty much! (Managed to go down 6 times :D). So basically it was a really cool, and REALLY laid back Holidays!

Finally... MIND LAB!!!

Yesterday we finally got to The Mind Lab! It was really fun, and the whole of GRi11 enjoyed it. The Mind Lab was all about Science and Technology. My favourite part was the 3D Printing, I loved the possibility of creating anything using already provided shapes. Although I would have loved to create something big, it would've taken too long to print, so instead I did a diamond shape with my name popping out of it. Creative Candles Part 2.

Hi, this is an update on our business. Creative Candles has been going really well, and we are up to selling point! There are twenty nine candles, and they are selling fast. It looks like we are going Mind Lab after all! Here is a link to our Creative Candles blog: http://goo.gl/5OsDnz. 

Creative Candles

At school we are creating our own businesses. I am the C.E.O of my group, who are making Candles out of old, unused crayons. We are raising money to go to Mind Lab, and I really hope we raise enough.

Fielding Trip.

To help improve our knowledge on businesses, we are going to the Fielding Stockyards, then to the Farmer's Market. I went on this trip in Year 3, and it was a HEAP of fun! I'm really excited to go again! 

Back in Business!

To kickstart Term 3, we were introduced to our intergrated unit, Businesses. We were told to form groups of four, and think of something brand new to the market. My group consists of Olivia, Alaa, Kaew, and myself. Our product is called Aqua-Flight, and it is a hoverboard, but when you press a button, the fans turn, and you can glide across the water. I don't think we'll be making this anytime soon, but it's gonna be really fun thinking of great extras to add!

Highlight of Term 2

My highlight of Term 2 was doing 'Go For Gold'. I was in Performing Arts (Drama and Music). After a term, we had learnt heaps about performing arts and here is some proof that I learnt lots and had lots of fun whilst doing so.

My group decided to do a comedy skit. So we did a performance called 'Stupid Astronauts'!

Why Learn With TTS?!

How to do the Mud Run at Green Pastures!!!

How to do the MUD RUN!!!!!!!!!!

The Mud Run. It doesn't really sound too hard, but if you attempt it without this very handy step-by-step guide, you will be WRECKED!!!!!!! So you're pretty lucky to have this in your hands. Read on, and don't miserably fail when it is your turn.......

Materials:

- VERY OLD CLOTHES!! (be ready to throw them out afterwards!!) OR

- You can wear toggs, if you prefer not to throw anything out

- A Mud Run

- A lake to wash out in afterwards

- A whole HEAP of time to brace yourself for what's ahead AND to finish it!

Steps:

1. Take off glasses or any other valuable things. These will get SUPER MUDDY!!!  

2. Then take a few deep breaths. Once you catch a glimpse and whiff, your stomach will go CRAZY!!!

3. Get stuck in!!! Literally! You'll probably get stuck a few times.

*HANDY TIP:* To prevent yourself from getting stuck, don't stay in one place for more than a few seconds. The more you move, the less likely you'll get stuck.

4. Try get all the help you can get from the people around you

5. After practically forever you've finished!! Well Done!!

So now you know what you have to do, what are you waiting for?! Hurry up and get in!!!!
